College of Education & Human Development Learning Technologies Division Internship Evaluation: By English Builders, Inc., Jan 2016 - July 2016 Claire is a mature professional. She possesses the technical skills, creativity and applies them to her work. She is a good listener and executes her work well ahead of schedule and goes above and beyond to deliver top quality products. She is dependable, polite, enthusiastic, thorough, knowledgeable, inquisitive, creative, patient, a great instructor, communicator (both verbally and in writing), and possesses all the positive attributes an employer will welcome. Areas for improvement: We lacked the technical equipment and bandwidth to equip her with the tools she needed. She took it upon herself to take the work home and get the job done. She needs to stress to the next company how important it is to have those capabilities to the organization. What do you think the student gained from the internship? She built confidence in herself and her abilities. She demonstrated her ability to apply the things she had learned, coupled them with her own research and training, and stretched herself outside of her comfort zone and now knows what an asset she will be for her future employers. Would you like the Georgia State University supervisor to contact you for further discussions about this intern? You are welcome to contact us. We have nothing but the highest praises for Claire. She is a model student and great ambassador for GSU! |

Internship Evaluation: By South University - June 2016 - August 2016
Strengths of intern: Claire did an excellent job of jumping right into the tasks that were assignments to her. She has worked with several levels of employees within the organization including Program Chairs, Instructional Designers and Program Managers. Claire asked questions when needed but worked very well independently with very little introduction to each project. Claire summarized status calls and with reviewing her notes, it is clear that she has a lot of instructional design knowledge. Claire worked very hard to make sure she was able to complete assignments and we appreciated all her inputs as they are being reviewed and implemented by the school.
Areas for improvement: None suggested at this time. I just wish we had more time with her.
What do you think the student gained from the internship? Claire was able to work on real Instructional Design assignments. She worked with Ministry Stakeholders to update their syllabi for an upcoming program-wide revision. She attended department status calls and course development kick-off calls. Claire also worked on content alerts which are issues that are submitted by either instructors or students for live courses. A Criminal Justice course needed a thorough review to determine if the software instructions were correct from a student view-point and Claire provided a very thorough review along with additional recommended changes that have been shared with the department chair for review and implementation. Claire also worked on a Healthcare course that is currently in development that the subject matter expert had submitted course resources that we were not able to secure permission to use. Claire reviewed both South and Argosy Libraries and courses to look for replacement videos. Clair provided an excellent document summarizing her finds.
Would you like the Georgia State University supervisor to contact you for further discussions about this intern? I do not have a need at this time to speak with a supervisor but I am more than willing to talk about any additional inputs or questions that you might have.
