As an artist, technology has given me a tremendous platform to create. From photography, to video production , graphic arts, instructional design, and more. The opportunities are limitless with so much to learn! It is said "If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life." When I am creating, time flies by and I never want to stop. It is what I love to do most!
My Background
I have a diverse background, spanning sales & marketing, administrative assistant to top executive of a hotel, resort and development company, sales support of a sales manufacturing firm, specializing in textiles, to 11 years in public education. Five of those years in special education and five in media services. I am an active volunteer, with a special interest in Autism, and an advocate for students with special needs and the elderly.
My Personal Life
In December 2016, I completed my Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology at Georgia State University. My education and professional background has given me a plethora of experiences, enhancing my wheelhouse of knowledge, while enabling me to adapt to a variety of disciplines. I enjoy the challenge of creating content and providing training that enriches the needs of others. The process should always be authentic, purposeful and simplify the work process. Like most people, I have had to overcome some difficult challenges over the years, proving my ability to overcome obstacles while staying focused, and persevere through many trials. These tests have defined me, and afforded me determination in all I set out to accomplish. I have a "can do" attitude and my motto is "failure is not an option." I have learned a tremendous amount, not only about IDT, but personally as well. I look forward to perfecting the art of instructional design, taking the time to create and continuing my journey of lifelong learning!
